Bran muffins are sort of the step-child of muffins, right? Well, these are both tasty and well, effective, hence the name Rough Rider Bran Muffins. Simple, easy, tasty, bran muffins from our kitchen to yours! Bon Apetit!
Ingredients
- ​2 cups All-Bran cereal​
- 2 cups old fashioned oatmeal
- 2 cups shredded wheat, crushed
- 5 cups flour
- 5 tsp baking soda
- 20 oz brown sugar
- 12 oz raisins
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 quart buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Mix all dry ingredients together in large mixing bowl. Stir in boiling water and mix well. Add remaining ingredients.
- Pour into greased or paper-lined muffin tins. Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes until light golden brown.
